Sunday, November 3rd will mark the beginning of the annual Christmas Child Shoebox Drive. Operation Christmas Child is a project by Samaritan's Purse, an international relief organization, that delivers shoeboxes filled with gifts to children in need around the world. Its purpose is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with children in vulnerable situations and to show God's love tangibly.
Shoeboxes are filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene products. The recipients of these boxes are children who have been affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease. The impact is far-reaching. Since 1993, over 220 million shoeboxes have been delivered to children in more than 170 countries and territories.
Visit the information table in the South Atrium to pick up preprinted shoeboxes, directions for filling them, and shipping labels. Be sure to return the filled boxes by Friday, November 22nd.
In order to lean into the family feel of Thanksgiving weekend we will be joining all together for a single service that Sunday. Our joint service will be at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary. (There will be no 8:45 or 6:30 service that Sunday.)
Help us bless our college students during exam time. Please sign up in Sunday school or online and drop off purchased items by November 20th to the donation table in the downstairs lobby. Homemade cookies should be dropped off by 9:30 am on Dec 1. Please also sign up to help assemble the gift bags at 9:45 am on Dec 1 in Fellowship Hall! If you have a college student please call the office this week to ensure we have his or her contact information. Thank you for blessing our students!

We're inviting families with children to our annual Celebrate While We Wait event on Saturday, December 7th from 10 AM to noon.
Join us as we create beautiful Christmas ornaments and engage in other exciting Advent activities together. It's a wonderful opportunity for our children to experience the joy and wonder of waiting for the birth of our Savior.
Registration is now open! Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can ensure enough supplies for everyone. We can't wait to see you there!
We are seeking First and Calvary volunteers for this event. Sign-up using the link below
This time-honored tradition celebrates the beauty of the arts at First & Calvary through an intimate worship service that features a variety of musical styles present by the musicians and friends of First & Calvary. It is an hour of candlelight, music, worship, and scripture reflections. The musical gifts have grown beyond the choral tradition, but the heart of this service remains the same as it has been for almost a century. Come and be a part of this warm, reflective evening.
